Agfest market on paper

TASMANIAN Country has teamed up with Rural Youth to bring the “Agfest End of Financial Year Marketplace” to our readers – an advertising feature that will offer Agfest vendors and patrons the opportunity to buy and sell during the traditional Agfest timeslot.

This will present a platform for rural businesses to present their products and services in a dedicated marketplace to time-critical buyers before the end of the financial year.

Rural Youth postponed Agfest 2022, from May 4-7 until August 24-27, due to concerns on running an economically viable event in May because of Covid restrictions.

The Agfest committee said they were well aware of the gap it created for many of their exhibitors for the vital end-of-financial-year sales.

“For this reason we have teamed up with Tas Country to support this Endof-Financial-Year Marketplace.”

The Agfest EOFY Marketplace will feature vendors who will be at Agfest this year, exclusively offering Tasmanian Country readers access to the state’s best deals in supplies and equipment in this feature, then in the pre-event Agfest Wrap, publishing August 19, one week prior to the field days in August.

“We hope our exhibitors can take advantage of this marketplace to ensure they finish the end of the financial year with a bang,” Agfest chairman Caine Evans said.
“We look forward to seeing them in the paddock at Agfest 2022 in August.”

The Agfest committee is very confident of a successful event in August and looks forward very much to seeing Agfest move back to the traditional month of May in 2023.

The feature will publish in the April 29 edition of Tasmanian Country.
