GLADYS Barreta has relocated from Melbourne to join the Font Publishing team as a cadet journalist working closely with editors across multiple publications.
Growing up in Alice Springs, Gladys, pictured, has always been involved with the community and is excited to be a part of an inclusive and tight-knit circle in Tasmania.
She describes Tasmania as the “dark horse” of Australia that boasts an avant-garde art scene that is like nowhere else in the world, not to mention the “incredible landscapes and wildlife”.
“There is something in the air in Tassie,” she says.
Gladys hopes that her new position as a journalist will allow her to uncover unique and inspiring stories about the remarkable state and its people.
