HORSE enthusiasts are in for a treat this Sunday when a team of four Clydesdales in harness will make their way down the main street of Sheffield.
At 87 years of age, Isla Roberts is one of the country’s oldest driving competitors and on Sunday at 11am she will take the reins of a team of four to celebrate her love of the sport.
The horses are from Ms Roberts’s niece Isla Bingham’s Almost Heaven Clydesdale stud at Sheffield.
Mrs Bingham said the plan was to head up and down the main street and possibly stop outside the pub for a while if the weather permits.
Ms Roberts has been driving horses since she was 10
years old and still regularly competes.
