THE Australian wool market surprised quite a few pundits last week by easing half a dollar – although there had been a bit of a feeling that it was getting ‘toppy’.

THE shortest day has come and gone and it is all cruising from here.

THE Australian wool market in Sydney and Melbourne last week was the only official auction across the globe as all other markets were either in recess for a week, closed down for the season or have simply sold out of current supplies of fresh wool.

IT IS only 10 days till the shortest day and the Tasmanian weather is generally staying mild which is making the autumn/winter looking pretty good for many and better than a month ago for many (mainly in the South).
