Koonya Garlic Festival back from the brink

Garlic lovers flocked to Koonya yesterday to sample the delectable allium which is one of the post popular background flavours in almost everything we eat.
Perfect weather greeted guests to what was the 10th annual festival - after a break last year when it was cancelled due to a shortage of committee members and volunteers.
After a rallying call went out last year to save the event for 2025, supporters and volunteers joined forces to ensure the ``little festival with a big heart'' was saved.
