Winner of our photo competition

Beef and dairy farmer Jane Field captured this photo which showcases the beauty of sunrise over her West Ridgley farm, which she runs with her husband, Dave. 

Located in the North West of Tasmania, the farm is just 20 minutes from Burnie. 

Jane and Dave purchased the farm about three years ago and since then the couple have dedicated their time to improving the land and running black Angus cattle. 

Their backgrounds are in dairy farming but since buying the farm they are focusing on fattening black angus cattle. 

“Once we’ve developed the farm and improved it to where we want it the plan is just to continue to fatten our black Angus cattle,” Jane said. 

This photo features their dairy cross beef calves at sunrise and was taken shortly after they had been moved to a new paddock.
