LIONS and Leos (over 18 years of age) who are looking to take on leadership positions at club or district levels, maybe for the first time, can apply for the Regional Lions Leadership Institute training in Brisbane from March 7 to 9, 2025.

This training focuses on the skills required to build teams and manage people effectively.  It also builds knowledge of Lions activities outside of club level and includes strategies for making change to move our organisation forward.

Experienced Lions who have an in depth knowledge of Lions and who are interested in developing their skills as a trainer and facilitator of Club Officer and other District training can apply to attend Faculty Development Institute (FDI) training in Brisbane from April 11-13, 2025.

Professional facilitators and experienced Lions trainers have an opportunity to apply for the Lions Certified Instructor Program (LCIP) which has three components: training, certification and recertification. This certification enables members to facilitate Lions training across Lions International training sites. The next LCIP program will take place in Christchurch, New Zealand from January 10-13, 2025. We know of at least one member of our club who will apply for this training and we hope she is accepted.

Who knows how many of our local Lions will be accepted into these courses extending our leadership and governance skills and talents? We’ll keep you posted.
