Bridestowe Estate Lavender Farm on the market
BRIDESTOWE Estate Lavender Farm, one of Tasmania's premier agritourism destinations, is for sale after nearly two decades of private ownership.
Spanning across 107 hectares, Bridestowe holds the title of the world's largest privately-owned lavender farm, run by the Ravens family since 2006.
With potential for further expansion, the new buyer will also have the opportunity to purchase the 50-hectare neighboring property, Loloma Farm.
Each year over 85,000 visitors from around the world stroll through the famed purple fields in the North East, one of Tasmania's most photographed sites.
Originally established in the 1920s by London perfumer Charles Denny, the estate was founded with his vision to produce high-quality French lavender oil.
Charles Denny and his family managed the farm until 1989, when the farm went into corporate ownership and began to decline without the family’s care.
In 2006, Robert Ravens bought the estate, taking the opportunity to breathe new life into the farm and restore it to its former glory.
Under the Ravens’ ownership, Bridestowe has thrived, setting the standard for agritourism across the state.
For years, visitors have been able to witness lavender harvests, the distillation process and explore the variety of products made from the flower.
As the Ravens prepare to sell, Bridestowe Estate presents a remarkable opportunity for a new owner to continue its legacy.
