Legislative Council elections delayed

It may not yet be official yet, but elections both Federal and local are on.

The Tasmanian Electoral Commission has revised this year’s dates for the 2025 Legislative Council elections for the divisions of Pembroke, Nelson and Montgomery.

Originally planned for Saturday May 3, the Legislative Council elections have now been postponed to May 24. 

This leaves the way for a Federal Election to be held on either May 3, 10 or 17 without coinciding with the Legislative Council elections.
