Prosser Liberal Kerry Vincent promoted
Recently elected Prosser Liberal MLC Kerry Vincent has been promoted to assist the Premier, Jeremy Rockliff.
Mr Vincent, who was elected to the Upper House in May, has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure.
He will support Mr Rockliff in delivering more than $5 billion of infrastructure projects across the state.
The appointment marks a rapid rise for Mr Vincent, who was only elected to his seat in May this year.
"Mr Vincent will provide additional support in the portfolio, and ensure all hands are on deck to meet key milestones across a range of important projects,” Mr Rockliff said.
"As the former Mayor of Sorell, Kerry played an instrumental role in the transformation of Sorell which has seen the construction and delivery of generational infrastructure for his constituents, in partnership with State and Federal Governments.
"Kerry will be a real driver of better outcomes for a number of key infrastructure projects across the State.”
Mr Vincent said it was an honour to serve the Premier and Tasmania as Parliamentary Secretary.
"Tasmania is on the cusp of completing some of the biggest infrastructure projects in our state’s history, as well as planning for future infrastructure that will improve the lives of Tasmanians for generations to come,” Mr Vincent said.
“I look forward to playing my part in ensuring these projects come to fruition."
