TasFarmers nominates Andrew Aldridge for Australian Dairy Farmers board
The TasFarmers Dairy Council has announced the nomination of Andrew Aldridge for a position as Business Director on the Board of Australian Dairy Farmers (ADF).
A dedicated Tasmanian dairy farmer and advocate, Andrew has a strong track record of leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, with over a decade of involvement in TasFarmers and ADF initiatives. He has led significant policy efforts, including responses to Foot and Mouth Disease and Lumpy Skin Disease threats and the development of ADF’s Surplus Calf Policy.
TasFarmers said that Andrew’s nomination comes at a critical juncture for Australia’s dairy industry, as producers face increasing financial, regulatory, and environmental challenges.
"ADF’s role is to unite and work collaboratively across the industry to address financial, regulatory, structural, and market pressures, fostering a sustainable future," Andrew said.
"Advocacy is about embracing inevitable change, assessing its impacts, and enabling all sectors of the dairy industry to navigate forward confidently.”
At a time where change is necessary within ADF and the industry in general, the TasFarmers Dairy Council has encouraged all ADF members to participate in this important election.
