Ford Coupes shine in Tasmania

Members of the Ford Coupe Club of Australia (Vic) Inc rolled off the Spirit of Tasmania yesterday to enjoy a four-day tour in Tasmania on its Hard Top Anniversary Drive.
Revelling in the sporting history of Longford’s Grand Prix, Baskerville, Symmons Plains and Targa Tasmania, and determined to drive the scenic routes and take in the beautiful scenery and quality food and beverages, the shiny contingent started the day with a drive through the Central Highlands.
Stopping for lunch at the Great Lake Hotel, the carpark filled with a spectacular selection of vehicles and the drivers enjoyed a feast prepared by James Johns and staff.
Today the cars will congregate for a Show and Shine on the lawns of Parliament House.
Tomorrow will see a motorsport event for those who like to put their coupes through their paces, plus a Poker Run and cruise options.
On Monday most will cruise back to Devonport although many are expected to stay on for an extended visit to the state.
