Charges to be laid over alleged illegal bull euthanisation

A man will be summonsed for animal cruelty and firearms offences after a bull was allegedly illegally euthanised at a public event earlier this month.

Police executed a search warrant at a Meander Valley address yesterday morning as part of an investigation into the incident at Gladstone on 2 November.

During the search, police seized 30 firearms and a 34-year-old Meander Valley man will be summonsed for multiple offences including animal cruelty and discharging a firearm in a public place.

According to police, a 62-year-old Meander Valley man will also be summonsed for multiple firearms-related offences as a result of the search.
